When 2 Needles Become 1 January 14, 2005

I’ve been a knitter all of 6 months, but I’m already considering going all circular. In my opinion, circular needles are infinitely better than straight ones. They’re more compact and easy to travel with. As long as they’re long enough you can move your work to the center of the loop between knitting sessions and not worry about dropped stitches. Plus, since I’m not constantly bumping the ends of the needles on the chair arm, I find that my stitches are a lot more even and consistant. I’ve switched my on-going, nearly 5′ Harry Potter scarf over to circs, and it’s amazing how much lighter it feels to knit.
