Mother's Day gift hopefuls

24 hours to go and we have 1 palm tree dishcloth (w/ yarn end to be weaved in), 1 hexagonal bobbled dishcloth from Mason-Dixon Knitting (one row completed and very sloppily too – a candidate for frogging), and 1 water bottle cozy (crocheted bottom portion done, the rest is all knitting). This will be a close one…

With Mom’s birthday being early in May I usually accumulate a bunch of small gifts for her at the beginning of the month which are then divided into ‘birthday’ and ‘Mother’s Day’ piles. Unfortunately I rather shortchanged the latter this year, so I’m scrambling to get something decent together.

I like the palm tree cloth! I haven’t seen that pattern around in my searches yet. The water bottle cozy is going to be cute.

The palm tree pattern can be found here:

I really love her patterns. The design is raised on every row (as opposed to every other row being all knit) so they ‘pop’ much better. I going to do the teapot one next. :-)
